Onion Dip

**Not Gluten Free?? No change :-)
**Not Dairy Free?? Use regular sour cream
**Grain Free?? No change :-)


Ingredients:

2 Tbs olive oil
1 1/2 cups onion, chopped
1/4 tsp sea salt + 1/2 tsp sea salt
1 cup dairy free sour cream (Cinderella loves Tofutti Sour Supreme Better than Sour Cream)
2 Tbs mayonnaise (or dairy free cream cheese [Cinderella loves Tofutti dairy free cream cheese] or see Cinderella's post for Homemade Mayonnaise)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp ground white pepper

Directions:

1. Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over a medium flame
2. Add the chopped onions and 1/4 tsp salt to the skillet
3. Cook the onions for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until the onions are caramelized and a nice golden brown color throughout
4. Remove onions from heat and let cool
5. In a large bowl, mix together sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, white pepper and 1/2 tsp salt 
6. Stir onions into mixture when cooled
7. Cover and refrigerate the dip for at least two hours before serving
8. Serve with potato chips (Cinderella loves Utz Ripples Original Potato Chips)
