Flour

Instead of wheat flour try...

     Nut Flours: Almond flour, walnut flour, pecan flour- You can buy store bought almond flour such as Trader Joe's brand almond meal or Bob's Red Mill brand almond meal or you can make your own. Just put 2 cups of nuts into a blender or food processor and blend until it looks like breadcrumbs.

Bread

Instead of white, wheat, rye, etc. bread try...

Pasta

Instead of wheat pasta try...

Dairy

Instead of regular milk try...

     Unsweetened original almond milk, unsweetened original coconut milk, unsweetened original cashew milk, unsweetened original soymilk, unsweetened original rice milk- The unsweetened original ones taste the most like regular milk, but they have sweetened and vanilla in most flavors if you like. 

Instead of creamer try...

     So Delicious coconut milk creamers, So Delicious almond milk creamers

Instead of butter try...

     olive oil, coconut butter, coconut oil, vegetable oil (soybean oil), avocado, applesauce, banana, margarine, or butter substitute such as Smart Balance buttery spreads 

Instead of 1 egg try...

     1/4 cup applesauce, 1/4 cup mashed banana, 1/4 cup arrowroot, 1/4 cup soy lecithin, flax seed mix (1 tsp flax seed powder with 1/4 cup water), 1/4 cup silken tofu, 1/4 cup unflavored gelatin powder, egg replacer (such as Ener-G egg replacer)

Sugar

     Sugar is gluten free, however numerous studies have shown that white, refined sugar is not good for our bodies. According to authoritynutrition.com, sugar may depress your immune system, contribute to infertility, lead to heart disease, increase your risk of cancer, contribute to yeast overgrowth in the body, keep your hormone, blood sugar and neurotransmitters out of balance, increase weight gain, increase your chance for diabetes and it is addictive.

     stevia, maple syrup, agave syrup, coconut sugar, molasses, honey, xylitol, dates, monkfruit, brown rice syrup, date sugar

To thicken sauces
